What are the requirements to use Advanced Woo Search?
Advanced Woo Search is a plugin for self-hosted WordPress sites. At minimum it requires:

What are the steps to make this plugin work on my site?
To start showing search results you need to take the following steps:
1. Install and activate the Advanced Woo Search plugin.
2. Index the plugin table so all your product fields are searchable.
3. Set plugin settings. Leave them at default values or customize some of them.
4. Add a search form to your site pages.
5. Done! All is set and the plugin search form is fully functional.

Does it work with variable products?
Yes. The plugin searches across variable products and all their variations. Individual product variations can be shown separately in the results, each with its own attributes.
Are there any limits on the number of products?
No. There are no limits on the number of products that you can search across. All product data is synced into a dedicated index table for fast, reliable search.
Is it integrated with my plugin?

Can I customize how search results look?

Does it support multiple languages and currencies?
Yes. Advanced Woo Search works with WPML, Polylang, qTranslate, GTranslate and WooCommerce Multilingual, showing products in the user's active language and prices in the matching currency. See the integrations guides for setup with each supported multilingual plugin.
Does it slow down my site?
No. Search runs through a dedicated index table for fast queries, and the plugin only loads its assets on pages where the search form appears - so it won't affect your overall page speed.
Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes. Advanced Woo Search does not collect or store any information about your site's visitors, so it is fully GDPR compliant.
What is indexing?
In order to work, the plugin first requires indexing all your WooCommerce products data. All content words are normalized and stored inside a plugin index table. From now on all plugin search queries will be performed through this index table.
This is a one-time action. After the first indexation all other product changes will be synchronized automatically.
Indexing helps to speed up search and to bring more accurate search results.
